Spring cleaning

Friday, October 7, 2011

I sometimes joke that I'm like an 80 year old in a twenty-something body because I'm so very domestic. That probably comes across loud and clear in my blog, but I really do love staying home and puttering about. This week my puttering has turned into spring cleaning frenzy.

It started with my room, and has now spread to the rest of the house. And I'm not just cleaning, I literally want to re-arrange everything in my house. This is just one of the corners that fell victim: a little bookshelf that I keep meaning to paint (and probably never will) filled with my craft books, old magazines and now topped with some greenery. Ah spring, there's nothing like it...

  5. My boyfriend always teases me about liking and wanting to do anything and everything nannaish. But hey my defense and reasoning is that surely nannas know what is best in life. they have some much experience behind them and have finally settled to do the fun stuff.

Love the vases. Clever idea. I've been saving doilies to sew onto a hoodie or skirt, but never get around doing it. Maybe I'll get around making some pretty vases and celebrate spring.

  7. There is no shame in enjoying nesting! I am a big nester, I love being in my home. I even nest when I arrive into a hotel. I love doing the washing too. I do spring cleans many times a year. Love how uncluttered your shelf looks, but still with touches of you, your life and nature.
