bangs, yes or no?

Friday, May 25, 2012

I have a love/hate relationship with bangs (sorry aussies, I mean a fringe). I love the way they look on other people, so I want them too. But when I have bangs, they drive me nuts, never quite looking how I want them to. It also doesn't help that my hair is multi-coloured; that big blond streak in the front is natural and makes any attempt at a fringe look kind of funny.

And yet, I want a fringe again. I wear my hair up a lot and it gets pretty boring. I like how a fringe can make even a messy bun look cute. What say you?

  1. Looks like you can pull off the "fringe" pretty well! So I say, go for it! :)

  3. hrmm that's a tough one. I say no bangs for summer, and bangs for fall/winter. Why? because i just think summer hair should be carefree! haha

  4. You look great both ways, but I love the bangs. Just get some pretty clips for when you want it out of your face :)

  6. You pull off BOTH so well! I'm jealous! (I can't pull off the no-bangs look). I vote for bangs, just because I'm biased!

  8. I know it's more work, but you do pull off the bangs gorgeously! I can't commit to the full fringe so I half-ass it with the side swept bangs.

  12. i feel like you pull off bangs better than most - but summer is the time i want hair to be able to be completley out of my face ...but if that doesn't bother you than go for it :)

  13. I always reckon you get the fringe cut and instantly start growing it back out again. There's something in that... x

  14. I've always wanted a fringe but never actually had one - it seems like a lot of effort.

You look gorgeous with or without a fringe so either way you're safe :)

  15. They both look good on you! I'm always like that though, can't decide whether to get 'em or not to. I say just take the plunge and get 'em, cos they'll grow out quickly anyway...into a lovely side fringe!

Love your blog by the way - new follower :)

  18. I think you look really good with bangs! but i know what you mean...i tend to find them annoying esp when they stick to my forehead and poke my eyes. Very high maintenance!

  19. I am the same! I always debate with myself about a fringe! I tend to think Fringes in winter are easier then fringes in summer. I think you look great with both!

  20. I do love you with bangs! Of course you are gorgeous without as well. since you are living in a hot country, I wouldn't do it since I don't like wearings bangs in summer they get greasy and annoying when it's hot.
