Breaking news friends...

Our avocado tree has just given birth!

Ok, so we always knew that we had 2 avocado trees in the backyard, but until recently neither had borne any fruit. My flatmate and I were so excited today to step outside and pick some avos straight from our tree. We both had avocado toast for lunch, and I'm sure we'll be making guacamole soon. I think I'm just so excited because this kind of thing would never happen in Canada!

  6. Oh my goodness, if that isn't just the cutest little avacado baby ever. ;)

My husband grew an avocado tree from a seed one time. Honestly though, we couldn't even call it a tree. More like a stick in dirt with giant leaves. Definitely no fruit off that plant... I'm so jealous of yours. I want some fresh picked avacado toast. Glad your enjoying them. :)

  9. I had an avocado in my yard when I was a kid, some of my first memories are running around carrying giant white buckets trying to catch the ripe ones my dad knocked off the branches. Enjoy all that guacamole!
