spring cleaning: part 2

Thursday, September 6, 2012

This week as the weather has warmed up and it really does feel like spring, the urge to spring clean has struck. Hard. Yesterday I took two boxes of clothes and books to Vinnie's. And I was surprisingly ruthless with myself - giving away beautiful clothes because I don't wear them. I still have a long list of things I want to do at home, little by little.

1. A purple bottle I picked up recently from the Rozelle markets.
2. I've been burning beeswax candles.
3. The prettiest teas.
4. A new nook at home.
5. Flowers from husband. I just love Australian blooms.

  11. Lovely photos! Just found your beautiful blog - hello!

  12. I'm so very ready for the spring cleaning ritual! There's something lovely about clearing and cleaning during these months...kind of how my body feels after spending winter eating, eating, eating. I've pulled out my yoga pants and trainers this week, ready to get this body back in action!

Your native blooms look beautiful; they remind me of the flowers Sam gave me on our 'commitment day'.

  13. I've been thinking alot about beeswax candles. I love Australian natives too, they've had a bad reputation in the past, but they keep so well and the colors are vibrant. Check out Grace's blog - she grows them in Tasmania!

  14. beautiful! fresh flowers and candles, sounds like your home is spring ready.

I love hearing from you, and if you ask me a question I'll answer you here (or by email if your email is linked to your profile) x
