Whew, I'm finally getting around to posting about our christmas/birthday/new year's week. It was busy; there were parties, gifts to unwrap, christmas lunch with family, and best of all, breakfast in bed on my birthday. I also managed to score numbers 1 and 6 from my wish list (thanks husband). I was a bit homesick this birthday/christmas (maybe I should starting calling it my birthmas, does that work?) so I skyped with my family a lot and took it easy with husband.
The taking it easy was actually my favourite part. Hanging out at home after the festivities, playing with our new toys and pottering around. I've had a lot of free time to read and have gotten through: Mother Rising, Shakespeare by Bill Bryson, The Bean Trees, The Philosopher and the Wolf and I'm currently reading Cloudstreet. The Philosopher and the Wolf was my favourite, hands down. I hope you all had wonderful, relaxing holidays!

Such beautiful images of an Aussie Christmas. Must be so very different to Christmases of your past! What delicious presents you received and how lovely to have had beautiful time to read. And I have that very same gorman dress...it is divine isn't it?! Wishing you a grand 2013 and much laughter, happiness and peace :) x

ReplyDeleteI love Bill Bryson. What a great start to the new year he will be. Humour, intelligence, self-depreciation and a fine eye for the detail - what more do we need.
