raining

It rained and rained this long weekend, and even though it was still fairly warm, it reminded me of Vancouver. We mostly stayed at home, only venturing out to go for insanely delicious brunch. There was far too much time spent in bed, watching movies on the laptop (I enjoyed this one) and drinking hot chocolate. Of course, I couldn't let the rainy weekend go by without some baking so I made a batch of chocolate chip cookies as well. I do love a relaxing weekend spent at home.

your photos make staying inside from the rain look like the loveliest possible thing at this instant!

pretty much what we've been doing over here! cool pics
ReplyDeleteI'm glad someone else stayed home all weekend, in bed, watching movies too! I started knitting a blanket, to while away those long hours indoors.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're all safe and well - wishing a wonderful week your way!

i love the way rain forces you to relax sometimes. it's always such a good way to be calm.
ReplyDeleteHi Gaby, I am a new reader, my husband and I are moving to Sydney soon and it is nice to see some photos of the city in your blog. We lived in Vancouver for 2 years and your post reminded me of our own rainy days spent at home watching movies and baking muffins. The cookies look delicious.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds perfect - it was actually warm enough for rain here, too! How far are you from the hurricane that was supposed to be headed toward AU? xx
ReplyDeleteChocolate chip cookies and a rainy day sound really perfect right now.
ReplyDeletei would love a lazy rainy weekend, yours sounds like perfection.

ReplyDeleteWishing I could stay inside all day! lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I like it when it rains all weekend as it gives me an excuse to get cosy and do some nesting. Your weekend sounds really nice.

Sounds like a really nice weekend! Have you seen the sequel to that movie? Before Sunset? It's even better than the original in my opinion, set in real time as the two walk and talk (with the original actors). Great conversation, I love it.
ReplyDeletesounds like my kind of perfect weekend!
